A New Way to Support Main Street West Branch

This season, we’re proud to introduce something new—something that connects West Branch’s past to its future. Main Street West Branch has launched a local Giving Society, a simple monthly membership that directly supports the mission of Main Street all year long.
Long before storefronts lined Main Street, West Branch gathered around one central spot: the original town water pump at Main and Downey. Residents and travelers drew water by hand, shared a single tin cup, traded news, and built the early bonds of community. That pump was the source of daily life -- practical and symbolic.

Today, its spirit lives on in our downtown and in the gazebo that now stands where the original pump once sheltered neighbors. It marks the place where West Branch has always come together: to support local businesses, preserve our history, and stay connected.
The Giving Society is designed to carry that tradition forward. With a quick “set it and forget it” monthly donation—at any level you choose—you help fuel the work that keeps our downtown thriving: supporting small businesses, preserving historic character, beautifying Main Street, and creating welcoming spaces and events that bring people together.
Members also receive exclusive annual artwork by local artist Anna Hoffmann-Kelson, celebrating a different historic downtown building each year. Multi-year members will build a meaningful collection that tells the story of West Branch, piece by piece.

Membership starts at just $10 per month, with perks that grow as you do. It’s an easy, automatic way to make a real impact on the place we call home.
Whether you live here today or still think of West Branch as “home,” we invite you to become a founding member of the Giving Society and help keep the heart of our community strong for generations.
