Promotions & Event Coordinator (Part-Time)
Are you passionate about community, creativity, and bringing people together?
Main Street West Branch is seeking an energetic, organized, and creative Events & Promotions Coordinator to help strengthen our historic downtown through marketing, events, volunteer engagement, and community partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to help tell West Branch's story, support locally owned businesses, and create memorable experiences for thousands of residents and visitors each year.


























Position Details

Part-Time (~20 hours/week)

$18–22/hour, depending on experience

Flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends for meetings and events

Hybrid work environment

Reports to the Executive Director
Responsibilities include assisting with:

Planning and executing community events and festivals
-
Social media management and content creation
-
Photography, graphic design, and marketing campaigns
-
Website updates and email newsletters
-
Volunteer coordination and community outreach
-
Sponsorship fulfillment and business communications
-
Administrative support for programs and special projects
No two days are exactly alike! We're looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and isn't afraid to jump in wherever needed.

Creative and detail-oriented

Organized and dependable

An excellent written and verbal communicator

Comfortable using social media and Canva (or similar design software)

Friendly, collaborative, and community-minded

Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Excited about supporting small businesses, historic preservation and downtown revitalization
Experience in marketing, communications, event planning, nonprofit work, tourism, or related fields is preferred, but we welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds who bring enthusiasm and transferable skills.
