Private carriage rides require advance reservations, allowing you to skip the lines and enjoy a scheduled ride time. Reservations open November 1 at 10:00 a.m.
 

Looking for a more spontaneous ride? Free horse-drawn wagon rides will also be available during the festival on a first-come, first-served basis.

The West Branch PTO Gingerbread House Contest invites kids, families and community members to show off their decorating skills with festive gingerbread creations.

Stop by during Christmas Past to view all the gingerbread creations and vote for your favorites! 

View and bid on a collection of gift baskets, unique experiences and local services! Auction is open Sat. Nov 28th - Sunday Dec 6th.
Proceeds support Main Street West Branch and help fund the free activities during A Christmas Past. 

This year’s Festival of Trees theme, Rooted in History, brings West Branch’s past to life through the magic of the season! Each beautifully decorated tree will represent a piece of history with ties to our community. Hosted by the Hoover Presidential Foundation inside the newly renovated Herbert Hoover Presidential Library and Museum.

Stay cozy indoors while you wait, with fun kids' coloring activities to keep the little ones entertained. Santa’s cheerful elves will be on hand to help snap a photo of the whole family using your own camera.  Free! Located in Town Hall both evenings.  Please enter using the North door.

Watch as O-gauge trains wind their way through the winter landscape — over bridges, through tunnels, and past a bustling town square where carolers sing, skaters glide, and cozy cottages glow with holiday light. Each scene is crafted by hand to bring back the nostalgic charm of an old-fashioned Christmas. View at the Fire Station!

You'll find cozy fires scattered throughout the event -- Roast a Marshmallow in a traditional brick oven, Roast a Hot Dog at the Fire Station or enjoy a fresh fire fried Donut behind the Fire Station!  There's plenty of spots to warm your body and your heart. 

Print the scavenger hunt form or grab one from the Rummells Center, Town Hall or Public Library. Find the 22 elves hidden in downtown businesses (map provided) and return your form for a prize!  Available the entire month of December.
