What is Main Street West Branch?
Main Street West Branch exists to see all of West Branch prosper by promoting its businesses, culture, history, architecture, and commitment to progress.
We're proud that our downtown buildings form a National Historic District, and we're eager to spread the word about unique investment opportunities and benefits available to building and business owners who make our community home.
Our program partners with the Hoover Complex to maximize tourism and increase commercial activity down town and with the City of West Branch to encourage progressive economic development.
How Do We Work?
The Main Street Four-Point Approach™ is a community/volunteer-driven strategy developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
We work in 4 distinct committees: Design, Business Improvement, Promotion, and Organization to address all of the commercial district's needs.
Main Street-designated communities in Iowa receive accreditation, guidance and technical assistance from Main Street Iowa and the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
